10 Advantages Of Dating A Programmer
Date a boy or girl who codes. A programmer. The way they see and observe the problem and write the code to solve it or try to build applications to make life better and easier is fascinating. It has lots to do with real life too.
Here are a few advantages of dating or being married to a programmer.
1. Programmers are intelligent, creative, and good at fixing things
Programmers are extremely smart. I didn’t mean that other professionals are not, but it’s just the way programmers work is definitely smart and creative, so by doing continuous problem solving, they kind of become smart more and more.
Smartness isn’t really a good reason to date a programmer, but it definitely is if you are the “learn-something-new-every-day” kind of person. And the best thing is whenever you have any IT question that you can’t figure out; they know the answer.
Their problem-solving skills are obviously outstanding, but they are also good at fixing things. They can fix any stuff around the home which needs to fix. They love DIY and are good at fixing things (cars, bicycles, drains, almost anything around the house).
Who doesn’t like that sort of helping hand around them who is always available at home? I think that they simply have more patience in this area, possibly because they spend so much time debugging code. And the skill of fast learning.
2. They have tremendous patient
This characteristic is extreme in programmers. Programmers spend lots of time creating software or developing programs, and if something doesn’t work right, they are expected to fix it.
The process, called debugging, is extremely time-consuming and helps people understand how they are so patient as it could be anywhere between 1 and 100 hours before they fix it.
Patience is key in a good relationship. And they are masters of patience.
3. Most programmers are humorous
They have a great sense of humor. Most of them like memes and relate those with their life tragedy and make fun of themselves.
If people are around them, they would joke around with technical things, and to understand their jokes, you would have to be smart and have a good sense of humor as well. Otherwise, chances are zero that you would be able to understand what they really meant and why that was funny.
That’s why ‘Nerdy jokes’ is a thing! If you get them, you will laugh and learn.
4. They are loving
Most programmers likely don’t spend time with other people very much.
No matter if they are introverts or extroverts, their circle is minimal. I am a programmer and 90% extrovert, but this is extremely unlikely for a programmer.
Programming is usually something that people do alone. This also means that they have extra love to give their partner because they will go long days without seeing anyone. This is very nice because their partner gets complete treatment whenever you go over to their house.
5. They are mostly rich
Most programmers are stinking rich. If you think about it, everything on the computer was coded at one point, and who do we have to thank for that? Programmers. And they work on lots of extra projects too. So they know where to invest and how to earn more by using their programming skills.
Programmers spend lots of time working and working and working, and people will pay very much for things that programmers find very easy.
But there is also the chance that you are dating a programmer who doesn’t care for money as much. Things might be different for them. But they are rarely broken.
6. Committed to the person they are dating
One good thing about programmers, they are committed to the person they are dating. People say this everywhere when it comes to dating programmers, and it is so true; they can’t cheat on you because they don’t have the time. This means that they will only have time for you.
Well, not exactly. You and their computer. That’s right, but it’s more likely that they struggle between putting their partner before or after their computer. For them, programming is not just work, it is fun to do.
7. Latest gadgets all over the house
Whenever any gadget comes, they are most likely the first person to know in detail about that. And they can really suggest which one is good for you.
Their home is packed with the latest and greatest gadgets. What could be more fun if you are into tech too.
8. Your kids would learn code even before they learn to speak
This is not very obvious, but there is a saying that kids are reflections of their parents. So kids learn and act according to their parent’s behavior.
I remember I wanted to be a college principal just because my father was a government college principal.
So being around programmer parents, kids automatically developed an urge to learn to code. At least they get to know those programming language names at a very early age where other kids won’t know unless they are specifically interested and try to learn on their own.
9. perfectionist and takes hard decisions easily
Programmers are very determined, and their jobs make them this way, and it becomes a habit. They focus on finding bugs, the same rule they apply in quality to cooking or fixing household stuff and everything.
Most of them are just perfectionists. Some of them might irritate you by giving away too much advice about technology and how tech good makes your jobs better and easier.
They make hard decisions very simply and quickly. This is just a side effect of being a programmer.
10. Very straightforward
They are straightforward. If they love you, they would tell you the shortest way possible without making it too big of a deal. And if they don’t, they would tell that too. No mind playing game nothing. So, if they’re feeling something, they’re bound to say to you on the face. While it might not be what you always want, you can trust this man to be truthful to you.
